Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Cairns is seeking Store People to maintain stock and organise the uniforms storeroom, ensuring customer orders and deliveries are met. You will work as part of a larger Production department and support stock control activities with managers.

The role is suited to physically fit individuals with basic computer, numeracy and literacy skills, and you may undergo pre-employment screening including reference and health checks. Right to work in Australia must be shown at interview.

Qualifications

• Physically fit as the role involves heavy lifting.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills required for stock handling and records.
• Ability to work autonomously within a team.
• Knowledge of paper consumables is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Unpacking new uniforms and prepping for wearers.
• Allocating, receiving and logging outgoing/incoming goods.
• Prepare uniforms and ensure correct sizing for orders.
• Stamp logo and name badges on uniforms.

About the Role:

Our Store people work at the heart of our business. The role is key in the overall success of the business through stock maintenance and organising the uniforms storeroom to ensure our customer's needs are met. Working as part of a larger Production department, our Store People work with the department managers in stock control activities and the ordering and receiving of outgoing and incoming goods.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Unpacking new uniforms and prepping for new wearers
• allocating and receiving functions for outgoing and incoming goods
• Prepare uniforms to go out to business, get correct sizing
• Stamp logo and name badges on uniforms
• Maintaining a clean and organised store

You will enjoy working and communicating with others whilst being able to work autonomously when required. You will also enjoy challenging yourself to meet and exceed performance targets set for our Store People.

Key Skills and Experience Required:

• You will need to be Physically fit as the role requires some heavy lifting
• Proficient computer, numeracy and literacy skills
• An ability to work autonomously
• Product knowledge of paper consumables is highly regarded
