Job summary

Based at our branch in Sydney, the Maintenance Technician role supports the production team by providing quality and efficient maintenance services during planned maintenance, breakdowns and the deployment of new plant and machinery.

We offer ongoing training, an apprenticeship program and employee perks such as education assistance and paid parental leave. You will work onsite five days a week, with a uniform and safety gear provided to support your lifestyle and career goals.

• Trade qualific ation is essential.
• Good mechanical experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining Laundry machinery such as Washers, Dryers, Ironers and conveying systems.
• Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults, production breakdowns, production start-ups and shutdowns.
• Planned maintenance and using our Spindle maintenance program.
• Working with steam and/or gas appliances.
• Working with other reticulated services hot/cold/softened water, pneumatics, tradewaste out flows.
• Identifying and participating in continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
• Identifying and reporting safety issues and concerns.

We’re looking for a Maintenance technician to join our commercial laundry. This is a permanent, full-time position in our Engineering department where you will work onsite in our branch 5 days a week, supporting our production team to ensure the smooth running of all equipment.

The key things that you will be focused on are responding to breakdowns, completing planned maintenance as scheduled and installing new plant and equipment as it comes along. Once you get a hang of the different pieces of equipment, the easier the job will be!
