Job summary

Barminco, part of the Perenti Group, is seeking experienced Underground Raise Bore Operators to join our Western Australia operations on a 14:14 FIFO roster. You will be responsible for safe, efficient raise boring activities, site inspections and coordination with supervisors to meet production targets.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Raise Bore Operator in underground mining.
• Strong understanding of underground mining processes and safety standards.
• Demonstrated experience operating raise bore rigs and related underground drilling equipment.
• Ability to work in a team and follow mine plans.

Responsibilities

• Operate raise bore drilling equipment to safely and efficiently complete planned raises.
• Set up, align and commission raise bore rigs and associated equipment.
• Install drill strings, cutters and reaming assemblies.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and routine maintenance on raise bore equipment.
• Monitor drilling performance and ground conditions, adjusting parameters as required.
• Safely complete rod handling, breakout and reaming activities.
• Identify and report hazards, equipment defects and changing ground conditions.
• Work closely with supervisors, engineers and underground crews to achieve production targets.
• Maintain compliance with site safety procedures and operational standards.
