Barminco is seeking experienced Underground Raise Bore Operators to join our high-performing underground operations across Western Australia.

Working a family-friendly 14:14 FIFO roster, you will contribute to raise boring activities supporting mine development, ventilation infrastructure and production targets. Barminco offers career development, modern equipment and strong safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience operating raise bore equipment in underground mining.
• Relevant operating tickets and licences highly regarded.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow detailed mine plans.

Responsibilities

• Operate raise bore drilling equipment to safely and efficiently complete planned raises
• Set up, align and commission raise bore rigs and associated equipment
• Install drill strings, cutters and reaming assemblies
• Conduct pre-start inspections and routine maintenance on raise bore equipment
• Monitor drilling performance and ground conditions, adjusting drilling parameters as required
• Safely complete rod handling, breakout and reaming activities
• Identify and report hazards, equipment defects and changing ground conditions
• Work closely with supervisors, engineers and underground crews to achieve production targets
• Maintain compliance with site safety procedures and operational standards
