Job summary

Stellar Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Production Engineer to lead an underground gold operation in Western Australia. You will head a team of Mining Engineers, oversee drill and blast activities, optimise production performance, and collaborate with site leadership to deliver safe and profitable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Mining Engineering.
• Underground hard rock mining experience.
• Strong drill & blast design and optimisation expertise.
• Experience in stope design, sequencing and production planning.
• Demonstrated leadership and people management capability.
• Proficiency with Deswik CAD, UGDB and Ventsim.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Current WA C Class Driver's Licence.
• First Class Mine Manager's Certificate or actively working towards obtaining one.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Production Engineers and Graduate Engineers
• Plan, supervise and optimise weekly drill and blast activities
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximise recovery and minimise dilution
• Review and optimise firing strategies, ring designs and production practices
• Support daily underground operations and achievement of production targets
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and operational plans
• Assist with short and medium-term mine planning activities
• Collaborate closely with operational and technical stakeholders
• Support Mining Management with technical, operational and statutory requirements
