Job summary
Catalyst Metals Ltd is seeking a Planning Engineer to join our expanding underground mining operations in Western Australia. The role is 8:6 FIFO from Perth, reporting to the Planning Superintendent, to develop practical mine plans that balance safety, efficiency and cost.
You will collaborate with geologists, engineers and operations to deliver reliable schedules. We value hands-on planning expertise, Desvik and Ventsim proficiency, and a proactive safety mindset to support our growth across
Qualifications
- Degree in Mining or Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in underground mine planning and production.
- Exposure to ventilation, mine infrastructure, geology, production and geotechnical engineering.
- Proficiency with Deswik tools and Ventsim.
- Safety-focused with continuous improvement mindset.
- WA FCMM certificate or eligible to obtain one.
- Valid WA C Class Driver's Licence.
Responsibilities
- Produce short- to medium-term mine designs (Development Mining Instructions, Stope Notes, Area Plans).
- Maintain planning data integrity and reflect performance for decision-making.
- Develop site infrastructure designs and integrated schedules aligned with budgets.
