Job summary

Catalyst Metals Ltd in Western Australia seeks a Senior Planning Engineer to lead underground mine planning for the Plutonic Gold Belt projects, delivering development plans, stope notes and area plans on an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth.

You will coach Planning Engineers, develop planning procedures, perform economic evaluations and optimise designs to maximise safety, productivity and value across multiple underground operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mining or Geotechnical Eng; WA FCMM or ability to obtain is preferred.
• 5+ years in mechanised hard-rock underground mining, incl. 2+ years in planning.
• Proven leadership and mentoring capability with experience in design optimisation.
• Proactive safety-focused mindset and continuous improvement
• Experience with ventilation, mine infrastructure, geology, and geotechnical aspects

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of mine designs, Development Mining Instructions, Stope Notes and Area Plans
• Develop and maintain mine planning procedures and systems for safe operations
• Conduct economic evaluations and design optimisations to improve productivity
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to Planning Engineers
