Job summary

Catalyst Metals Limited is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer for a 8:6 FIFO role from Perth to contribute to our Plutonic Gold Mine operations in WA. You will lead mine design delivery, develop planning procedures, and perform economic evaluations to optimise production and value across multiple underground zones.

You will mentor planning engineers, collaborate with geotechnical and operational teams, and ensure safe, efficient, and profitable mining outcomes in a growing multi-mine operation.

Qualifications

• Degree qualifications in Mining or Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years' experience in a mechanised hard-rock underground mining environment, including 2+ years in mine planning.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring capability, with experience in economic evaluations and design optimisation.
• Exposure to ventilation, mine infrastructure, geology, production and geotechnical engineering.
• Current WA C Class Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of mine designs, including Development Mining Instructions, Stope Notes and Area Plans
• Develop and maintain mine planning procedures, standards and systems to support safe and efficient mining operations
• Conduct economic evaluations and mine design optimisation studies, assessing alternative mining methods and identifying opportunities to improve productivity, reduce costs and maximise project value
• Provide technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to Planning Engineers
