Job summary

Vault Minerals is seeking an Alternate Underground Manager for the Darlot Underground team in Western Australia. The role supports the Underground Manager in daily supervision to meet WHS Mine Act and Reg (2022) requirements while executing approved mine plans.

The position is offered on an 8:6 roster FIFO from Perth and includes career development opportunities within a century-old mining operation known as Darlot in the Goldfields region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) with solid underground mining principles.
• Sound knowledge of underground metalliferous mining methods including drilling and blasting, ground support, ventilation, production mining, and development.
• Proven project management experience with planning and delivery of underground mining projects.
• Strong planning, scheduling, and organisational skills to coordinate resources and meet targets safely.
• Demonstrated leadership and people management to drive accountability and team performance.
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution for clear direction and resolution of issues.

Responsibilities

• Assist the underground manager in day-to-day supervision, control and management of underground operations.
• Act as Site Senior Executive in absence of Underground and Operation Managers.
• Facilitate risk assessments and review procedures, standards and guidelines.
• Lead incident investigations and coordinate emergency responses.
• Assist with annual capital forecasting, project scoping and delivery.
