BHP Olympic Dam in regional South Australia seeks an experienced Superintendent Mining Execution to lead a large underground team and deliver safe, reliable, and efficient mining outcomes across services, production or development.

You will foster frontline leadership, uphold rigorous safety standards, partner across functions, and drive continuous improvement through BOS practices, helping shape culture and performance.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of large, diverse underground teams.
• Experience in underground Mine Services, Production or Development.
• Experience coaching and developing leadership.
• Strong safety leadership and risk management.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across teams.
• Sound contractor management and service delivery focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a safety-focused culture with open communication and proactive hazard management.
• Drive high standards of safety performance and investigations.
• Lead and develop a diverse workforce through coaching and succession planning.
• Establish operational priorities and align with objectives and BHP values.
• Ensure consistent application of mining execution processes and systems.
• Oversee the execution of critical underground work across services, production or development.
• Build partnerships across the mine and wider business to deliver outcomes.
• Improve operational performance through planning, discipline and utilization.
• Champion continuous improvement through BOS practices, safety and cost focus.
• Manage material risks with robust control execution and compliance.
