BHP is hiring for Superintendent Mine Operations at Prominent Hill to lead underground mining activities on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Adelaide or Port Augusta. The role emphasizes safety leadership, planning execution, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering, planning, and contracting teams.

You will drive operational excellence, coach teams, and manage risk in a long-life copper-gold operation expanding throughput and reliability while aligning with BHP values.

Responsibilities

• Lead underground mining activities to deliver safe, reliable and efficient outcomes.
• Provide visible safety leadership and promote a culture of safety first.
• Coordinate with operational, technical and contractor teams to execute mine plans.
• Collaborate with engineering and planning to optimise performance and production.
• Monitor performance, identify risks, and implement practical improvements.
• Ensure compliance with site standards, QAQC, and regulatory obligations.
