Job summary

Gold Fields is seeking a Senior Mine Planning professional to deliver short- and medium-term planning for underground operations, aligning safety, production and cost targets with Agnew's strategic objectives. The role is offered on an 8 days on 6 days off FIFO roster from Perth.

The successful candidate will develop mine plans, review designs, ensure ventilation and infrastructure integration, and collaborate across departments to support production schedules.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of statutory safety requirements relevant to mining and WA FCMM certification (UG time completed).
• Strong underground engineering experience, ideally in gold.
• Proficiency in MS Office and mining software (Deswik CAD, Deswik Scheduler, Ventsim).
• Manual Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate short to medium term mine plans that support operational objectives and LOM timeframes.
• Review economic evaluations for each mine design to ensure financial objectives are met under determined cut-off grades.
• Ensure mine plans consider ventilation, infrastructure, DnB and paste fill needs.
• Prepare stope designs, declines, escapeways and level plan layouts, and mining instructions aligned with operational mining schedule.
• Create infrastructure plans and schedules aligned with mining interactions and budget constraints.
• Providing timely and accurate planning guidance for the delivery of the mining department production schedules.
• Collaborate across departments to support key projects.
