Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti's Sunrise Dam Gold Mine in Australia seeks a Specialist Mine Engineer – UG to join the Underground Mining team. You will deliver mine plans and schedules in a safe, efficient manner under the Underground Mine Planning Superintendent.

The role operates on an 8 days on / 6 days off FIFO roster with direct flights from Perth and Kalgoorlie. Key duties include designing stopes and development to support the Short-Term Plan, assisting with economic evaluations, and coordinating with

Qualifications

• Experience in mine planning and scheduling for underground operations.
• Deswik or equivalent scheduling software experience.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.
• Ongoing Australian permanent work rights.
• Proven track record delivering safe, compliant mine plans.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Produce mine designs for the underground mine to meet the budget physicals and align with the plan.
• Develop stope and development designs to support Short-Term Plan and Budget.
• Assist with economic evaluations for production panels.
• Collaborate with Drill & Blast and Operations to ensure plans are fit for purpose.
• Coordinate with Geology to optimise grade control drill platforms.
• Act as a safety leader in line with company policies and procedures.
• Communicate risks to the plan to all stakeholders.
