Lake Imaging in Geelong is seeking an Ultrasound Supervisor to lead the Ultrasound department, ensuring high-quality, efficient services for patients and referrers. The role involves directing staff, managing rosters and leave, and maintaining compliance with imaging protocols.

We are looking for a leader who can mentor junior staff, uphold patient-centered care with compassion and dignity, and drive continuous quality improvements in a busy diagnostic imaging setting near the Geelong region.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience in a Senior Sonographer, Modality Supervisor, or similar position.
• Holds ASAR registration and professional indemnity insurance.
• Regularly participates in further education and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Supervising the practice workflow to meet nominated timeframes.
• Perform high quality medical imaging diagnostic examinations in compliance with protocols.
• Be familiar with all equipment and accessories to enable fluent examinations.
• Provide leadership and direction to staff under supervision; manage rosters and leave.
• Provide high quality and safe service that is accessible and sustainable.
• Foster good public relations and communications with patients and referrers.
• Lead advanced Sonography in MSK, OBs, Gyne and general US.
• Identify training opportunities for junior Sonographers as required.

Lake Imaging, founded in 2002, has become the largest radiology provider in central and western Victoria with more than 19 clinics provides a wide range of diagnostic imaging services to the St John of God private hospitals, community-based clinics and speciality centres in Melbourne, Ballarat, Geelong, and Warrnambool.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have the rare opportunity for an Ultrasound Supervisor to join the Lake Imaging team to support the Ultrasound department by maintaining a high quality, efficient services for our patients and referrers; providing leadership and direction to staff under supervision; to managing rosters and leave for technical staff.

• Supervising the practice workflow to meet nominated timeframes
• Perform high quality medical imaging diagnostic examinations in compliance with protocols
• Be familiar with all equipment and accessories provided so that a fluent examination can be undertaken
• Demonstrate leadership in the treatment patients with care, compassion, dignity, and respect always and without compromise
• Provide high quality and safe service that is accessible and sustainable
• Foster good public relations and communications with your team, patients, relatives, visitors, and the general public
• Advanced Sonography in MSK, OBs, Gyne and general US – share your passion!
• Identifying training for junior Sonographers as required
