Lake Imaging in Geelong is seeking an Ultrasound Supervisor to lead and streamline the Ultrasound department. You will manage rosters, oversee staff, and perform high-quality imaging while upholding patient care standards.

Qualifications

• Senior Sonographer or supervisor experience.
• Holds ASAR and professional indemnity insurance.
• Regularly participates in ongoing education and professional development.
• Ability to lead and work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Ultrasound workflow to meet timeframes.
• Perform high quality diagnostic ultrasound in line with protocols.
• Be familiar with all equipment to ensure efficient examinations.
• Provide leadership and direction to staff under supervision; manage rosters and leave.
• Deliver safe, accessible and sustainable service; maintain patient care standards.
• Foster strong communication with team, patients and referrers.
• Lead Advanced Sonography in MSK, OBs, Gyne and general ultrasound.
• Identify training needs for junior sonographers.

Lake Imaging, founded in 2002, has become the largest radiology provider in central and western Victoria with more than 19 clinics provides a wide range of diagnostic imaging services to the St John of God private hospitals, community-based clinics and speciality centres in Melbourne, Ballarat, Geelong, and Warrnambool.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have the rare opportunity for an Ultrasound Supervisor to join the Lake Imaging team to support the Ultrasound department by maintaining a high quality, efficient services for our patients and referrers; providing leadership and direction to staff under supervision; to managing rosters and leave for technical staff.

• Supervising the practice workflow to meet nominated timeframes
• Perform high quality medical imaging diagnostic examinations in compliance with protocols
• Be familiar with all equipment and accessories provided so that a fluent examination can be undertaken
• Demonstrate leadership in the treatment patients with care, compassion, dignity, and respect always and without compromise
• Provide high quality and safe service that is accessible and sustainable
• Foster good public relations and communications with your team, patients, relatives, visitors, and the general public
• Advanced Sonography in MSK, OBs, Gyne and general US – share your passion!
• Identifying training for junior Sonographers as required

• Demonstrated leadership experience in a Senior Sonographer, Modality Supervisor, or similar position
• Holds ASAR and professional indemnity insurance
• Regularly participates in further education and continued professional development
• Ability to lead and work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Strong attention to detail
• A passionate and ‘can-do’ attitude
