Job summary

MacKellar Group is seeking an experienced Tyre Supervisor to lead the mine-site Tyre Fitting team on an 8/6 roster. This role requires strong leadership, safety focus, and the ability to manage documentation and reporting for all tyre-related activities.

You will oversee maintenance and repairs, ensuring safety, time, and cost targets are met while recording daily tasks and driving continuous improvement. The position offers permanent opportunity on a long-term project with flights to site from

Qualifications

• Current Mining Supervisor certification (G1/G8/G9).
• Carry out the Risk Management Process – G2 (RIIRIS402D).
• Tyre Fitting certificate required.
• Queensland Coal Board Medical current or willing to obtain.
• Standard 11 current or willing to obtain.
• A valid Queensland driver license must be held.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to coordinate safe and cost-effective Tyre Fitting of all equipment, with documentation and reporting.
• Ensure Tyre Fitting maintenance/repairs meet safety, time and cost requirements.
• Accurately record daily activities and maintenance tasks.
• Build and maintain strong, high-performing teams.
• Lead continuous improvement and develop/implement solutions.
• Promote and maintain a positive safety culture within the team.

Your new role

We are seeking a highly experienced Tyre Supervisor to provide leadership to the mine-site based Tyre Fitting team. Operating on a 8/6 roster, your duties and responsibilities include-

• Lead by example coordinating the safe and cost-effective Tyre Fitting of all equipment, including documentation and reporting.
• Ensure Tyre Fitting related maintenance and repairs are executed within safety, time and cost requirements
• Accurately record the daily activities and maintenance tasks
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships and effective, high performing teams
• Focused on continuous improvement, with ability to lead teams to develop and implement solutions
• Promote and maintain a positive safety culture and record within the team.

What you'll need to succeed

• Current Mining Supervisor – G1, G8, G9 (formerly S1, S2, S3)
• Current Carry out the Risk Management Process – G2 (RIIRIS402D)
• Tyre Fitting certificate
• Current Queensland Coal Board Medical (or willingness to obtain)
• Current Standard 11 (or willingness to obtain)
• A current Queensland driver licence.
