Job summary

Westar Trucks Campbellfield is seeking a skilled Truck Fabrications Welder to join a high-caliber fabrication team. You will build and modify truck chassis and components, working closely with technicians and auto electricians to deliver high-quality welds that meet safety and workmanship standards.

This permanent full-time role offers a modern facility, ongoing training, and exposure to leading brands such as Isuzu, Western Star, MAN and Dennis Eagle.

Qualifications

• Qualified Welder, Boilermaker, Fabricator or similar trade qualification.
• Proven welding and fabrication experience in industrial environments.
• Experience with truck, trailer or heavy vehicle fabrication highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and modify truck chassis to engineering and customer specifications.
• Perform MIG welding, cutting, grinding and steel fabrication work.
• Install and fit truck components including tailgates, doors and ancillary equipment.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
• Collaborate with workshop technicians and auto electricians.
• Maintain high standards of quality workmanship and safety compliance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement within the fabrication department.

About the Role

As a Truck Fabrications Welder, you'll play a key role in building and modifying truck chassis and components to meet customer requirements. Working closely with our technicians and auto electricians, you'll deliver high-quality fabrication work that meets safety, compliance and workmanship standards.
