Job summary

CMV Truck Centre in Cavan, NSW, is seeking a trade-qualified Welder or Fabricator to join our Delivery Department. You will perform fabrication and fit-out work on new trucks, delivering high-quality components and customised solutions prior to delivery.

You'll work in a modern workshop with a strong focus on safety and deadlines, collaborating with fitters, painters and auto electricians while enjoying ongoing training and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications in Metal Fabrication, Welding or Body Building.
• Experience within transport engineering or heavy vehicles.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work.
• Ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines; current Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

• Repair, manufacture and modify truck and trailer components, including chassis, suspensions, stainless steel panels and brackets
• Fabricate and install custom accessories and equipment
• Assist with vehicle fit-outs, including cab accessories, bumper bars, fridges, microwaves, toolboxes and more
• Ensure all customer-requested accessories are fitted to a high standard and completed on time
• Work collaboratively with fitters, painters, auto electricians and other workshop team members
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality and workmanship

We are currently seeking an experienced and trade-qualifiedWelder or Fabricator to join our Delivery Department, where you'll play a key role in preparing and customising some of the best trucks on the market.

About the Role

Working in a modern, well-equipped workshop, you will be responsible for producing high-quality fabrication and fit-out work on new trucks prior to delivery. This is a hands-on role offering a great variety of work, where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair, manufacture and modify truck and trailer components, including chassis, suspensions, stainless steel panels and brackets
• Fabricate and install custom accessories and equipment
• Assist with vehicle fit-outs, including cab accessories, bumper bars, fridges, microwaves, toolboxes and more
• Ensure all customer-requested accessories are fitted to a high standard and completed on time
• Work collaboratively with fitters, painters, auto electricians and other workshop team members
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality and workmanship

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Trade qualifications in Metal Fabrication, Welding, Body Building or a related trade
