Job summary

Melbourne North Truck Centre is seeking a dedicated Driver & Yard Person to join our team at the Melbourne North dealership. You will assist with vehicle collection and delivery, move vehicles around the yard and prepare new and used trucks for display.

The role requires a HC/MC license, strong safety focus, good communication and basic computer skills. We offer an above-award hourly rate, wellbeing tools and company events as part of our growing CMV network.

Qualifications

• Must have HR/HC/MC Drivers Licence.
• Dangerous goods licence is an advantage.
• Strong focus on safety and safe driving practices.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the collection and delivery of vehicles to and from customers.
• Manage the movement of vehicles around the dealership yard.
• Prepare the coordination and detailing of new and used vehicles.
• Maintain presentation of the branch both internally and externally, including minor maintenance.
• Ensure all trucks on display are clean and presentable.

Welcome to Melbourne North Truck Centre, the latest addition to the extremely successful Hallam and Bayswater Truck Centres. As a full-service Kenworth and DAF Truck dealership, we offer new truck sales, parts, and mechanical servicing, proudly serving the North of Melbourne, including Ballarat territories. Currently operating from our interim location on Hume Highway in Somerton, we are eagerly anticipating the completion of our state-of-the-art dealership in 2028 in Mickleham, which is set to revolutionise the truck sales and service customer experience in Melbourne.

About the role

Melbourne North Truck Centre are seeking a dedicated, skilled and meticulous individual to fill an opening as aDriver & Yard Personin our Sales Departments. Maintaining the highest level of customer service, you will represent the company to our suppliers and customers.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with the collection and delivery of vehicles to and from our customers
• Manage the movement of vehicles around the dealership
• Prepare the coordination and detailing of new and used vehicles
• Maintain presentation of the branch both internally and externally, including minor maintenance where require
• Ensure all trucks on display are clean and presentable

Skills & Experience

• A proactive approach to tasks with a proven ability of working in a team environment
• Must have HR/HC/MC Drivers Licence
• Dangerous goods licence an advantage
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• High level of commitment to safety and safe driving practices
• Basic computer knowledge
