Job summary

Marist180 is seeking passionate Youth Workers to join our Therapeutic Care Home and Immediate Transition Model programs in New South Wales. You will provide trauma-informed, therapeutic support to children and young people aged 0–18, helping with wellbeing, daily living skills and education in a nurturing environment.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to implement individual care plans and may rotate across ITM and TCH programs, including weekends, sleepovers and overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people who have experienced trauma or adversity.
• Understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic care principles.
• Ability to build therapeutic relationships with children and young people.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication, record keeping and ethics.
• Understanding of child protection and safeguarding responsibilities.
• Demonstrated cultural awareness and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed, therapeutic support to children and young people aged 0–18.
• Support wellbeing, daily living skills, education and community participation.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to individual care plans.
• Participate in rostering including weekends, sleepovers and overnight shifts.
