Job summary

Life Without Barriers Education in Bathurst is seeking a Teacher to deliver engaging and flexible learning for young people who are disengaged or at risk of disengaging from education. You will work with Youth Workers to create an inclusive, trauma‑informed environment that supports wellbeing and learning.

The role requires tertiary qualifications in Education, active NESA accreditation or ability to obtain, and a commitment to differentiated instruction for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Design and deliver flexible learning options for disengaged learners.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and styles.
• Apply trauma-informed practices to support student wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging learning programs for young people.
• Create an inclusive, culturally responsive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with Youth Workers and families to support transitions.
• Maintain compliant records and participate in professional development.
• Build strong relationships with students, families, and external agencies.
• Support positive outcomes through trauma-informed behaviours management.
