Job summary

Life Without Barriers Education is seeking a permanent full-time Teacher at Coffs Harbour. You will deliver engaging, flexible learning for young people who are disengaged or at risk of disengaging from education, working with Youth Workers to create an inclusive, trauma-informed classroom where students can re-engage and thrive.

Each campus supports 15–20 students with a small team, and you will collaborate with families, carers and community agencies to advocate for students and support

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Education.
• Active NESA accreditation or ability to obtain (per 2024 NSW Teacher Accreditation Manual).
• Proven expertise in designing and delivering flexible learning options for disengaged students.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for neurodivergent learners.
• Strong communication with students, families and stakeholders.
• Current Provide First Aid certification (HLTAID011) or willingness to obtain.
• Current unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence and ability to drive 12-seater vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging learning programs for disengaged or at-risk young people.
• Create an inclusive, culturally responsive environment that supports wellbeing and engagement.
• Apply trauma-informed practices to manage behaviours and promote positive outcomes.
• Build relationships with families and communities to support transitions.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to a safe learning environment.
