Job summary

Life Without Barriers Education in Mount Druitt is seeking a Teacher to deliver engaging, flexible learning for young people who are disengaged or at risk. Working with Youth Workers, you’ll foster an inclusive, trauma-informed classroom and support successful transitions for students.

Qualifications

• Tertiary edication qualifications required for teaching roles.
• Active NESA accreditation or ability to obtain.
• Experience delivering flexible learning for disengaged students.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging learning programs including integrated and accredited learning.
• Create an inclusive, culturally responsive environment supporting wellbeing and engagement.
• Apply trauma-informed practices to manage behaviours and promote positive outcomes.
• Build relationships with students and families for participation and life skills.
• Collaborate with teams and external agencies for coordinated support.
• Maintain records, meet compliance, and contribute to a safe learning environment.
