Job summary

Life Without Barriers Education in Dubbo is seeking a permanent full-time Teacher to deliver engaging, flexible learning for disengaged students. You will work alongside Youth Workers to create an inclusive, culturally responsive environment that supports wellbeing and successful transitions.

You will plan and deliver a range of learning options, apply trauma-informed practices, and maintain compliant records while building strong relationships with students, families, and community agencies.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Education.
• Active NESA accreditation or ability to obtain.
• Experience designing flexible learning options for disengaged students.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for neurodivergent learners.
• Strong communication with students, families and stakeholders.
• Provide First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Driver’s licence and ability to drive 12-seat vehicles.
• Probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and NSW Working with Children check.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging learning programs, including integrated, applied, and project based learning, literacy and numeracy support, and individual learning plans.
• Create an inclusive, culturally responsive environment that supports wellbeing, engagement, and strong community connections.
• Apply trauma-informed and therapeutic practices to manage behaviours and promote positive outcomes for young people.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with young people and their families, supporting participation, life skills, and cultural identity.
• Work collaboratively with teams and external agencies to provide coordinated support and smooth transitions.
• Maintain accurate records, meet compliance requirements, and actively contribute to professional development and a safe, supportive learning environment.
