Job summary

Life Without Barriers Education in Bathurst is seeking a dedicated Youth Worker to support the wellbeing, engagement and learning of young people in a safe, inclusive and trauma-informed environment. You will work alongside teaching staff under a permanent full-time arrangement, contribute to wellbeing programs, develop individual learning plans and build strong relationships with students and families.

This role requires relevant qualifications in Education Support or Youth Work, First Aid and

Qualifications

Qualified in Education Support or Youth Work, or equivalent experience.
Experience engaging with young people with complex needs.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong organisational skills to run wellbeing programs.
Current First Aid certification.
Current unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence and ability to drive 12-seat vehicles.

Responsibilities

Support student wellbeing, engagement and learning in a trauma-informed environment.
Collaborate with teachers and community agencies to provide integrated support.
Assist with in-class activities and individual learning plans.
Maintain records and comply with child safety and organisational policies.
Participate in school routines and professional development.
