The Public Transport Authority (PTA) is seeking a Senior Information Governance Officer to lead information governance, privacy and records management in a large public organisation. You will apply governance principles, advise stakeholders, and drive compliant data practices across core systems.
Ideal candidates have experience in information and records management, strong knowledge of legislation and frameworks, and excellent communication.
At PTA, information is created, shared and relied upon every day to support critical services and inform decision-making. As our Senior Information Governance Officer, you will play an important role in ensuring that information across the organisation is managed responsibly, securely and in accordance with legislative and governance requirements.
Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will turn information governance principles into practical outcomes. From providing expert advice on governance, compliance, privacy and records management, to supporting information management initiatives and improving business processes, your work will help strengthen information management practices across the agency. You will support teams to understand their responsibilities, embed best-practice approaches, and ensure the effective management of information across platforms such as corporate systems. Along the way, you will build strong relationships, facilitate collaboration, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with experience in information and records management, governance or compliance within a large and complex organisation. You will have a strong understanding of information management legislation, standards and frameworks, coupled with effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills. There is one permanent full-time opportunity available for an immediate start. A part-time arrangement may be considered for the right applicant. Applicants assessed as suitable through this process may be used to fill similar vacancies both fixed term and permanent that may arise within the next 12 months.
