Job summary

Waverley Forklifts is seeking an experienced Transport Coordinator to join our Queensland team in Yatala. You will coordinate daily truck and driver movements, plan loads, and ensure safe and efficient operations across the fleet.

Reporting to the QLD State Manager, you will communicate with drivers and customers, maintain scheduling data, and support compliance with heavy vehicle and WHS requirements. A strong, organised approach and knowledge of the Gold Coast region are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous transport coordination, allocation or scheduling experience.
• Knowledge of machinery transport, loading and restraint practices is highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of Brisbane, Gold Coast and surrounding regional areas.

With continued growth across our Queensland operations, we have created a new opportunity for an experienced Transport Coordinator to join our team at Yatala.

The Role:

Reporting to the QLD State Manager and working closely with our National Transport Manager, you’ll play a key role in the daily coordination of our Queensland transport fleet, ensuring our trucks, drivers and customer movements are planned safely and efficiently.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Coordinating daily truck and driver movements to maximise fleet efficiency

Planning loads and allocating work across the fleet

Maintaining regular communication with drivers, customers and internal teams throughout the day

Monitoring schedules and responding to changing priorities, delays and customer requirements

Maintaining accurate job and scheduling information within our transport system

Ensuring driver documentation, pre-trip inspections, timesheets and proof of delivery requirements are completed

Coordinating fleet repairs and maintenance with the QLD State Manager and National Transport Manager

Providing a high level of service to internal and external customers

Supporting driver compliance with safe work practices and relevant heavy vehicle and WHS requirements

The Right Person for the Role:

Transport rarely goes exactly to plan, so we’re looking for someone who is organised, calm under pressure and good at finding solutions.

Ideally, you will bring:

Previous transport coordination, allocation or scheduling experience

Knowledge of machinery transport, loading and restraint practices highly regarded

Good knowledge of Brisbane, Gold Coast and surrounding regional areas

Strong customer service aptitude and communication skills

The confidence to communicate effectively with drivers, customers and internal teams

Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Sound computer skills and the ability to confidently learn our operating systems

A practical, hands‑on approach and willingness to work as part of a broader team
