Job summary

Waverley Forklifts, an Australian-owned leader in forklift and transport services, is seeking an experienced Transport Coordinator for our Mount Waverley Head Office. You will join a two-person team to manage Victorian transport operations, ensuring safe and efficient movements for trucks, drivers and customers.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily movements, planning loads, maintaining schedules in Baseplan and supporting driver compliance with WHS requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport coordination or scheduling.
• Knowledge of machinery transport, loading and restraint practices preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Melbourne metro and surrounding regions.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily truck and driver movements to maximise fleet efficiency.
• Plan loads and allocate work across the fleet.
• Maintain regular communication with drivers, customers and internal teams.
• Monitor schedules and respond to delays and changing priorities.
• Maintain accurate job and scheduling information in Baseplan.
• Ensure driver documentation and compliance with pre-trip inspections and POD requirements.
• Coordinate fleet repairs and maintenance with National Transport Manager.
• Provide high level service to internal and external customers.
