Job summary

MSS Security in Canberra is seeking a Training Coordinator to coordinate and deliver operational and accredited training for guarding teams and client-stakeholders. You will report to the General Manager in the Defence portfolio and travel regularly across ACT, NSW, and VIC.

You will develop learning strategies, maintain a national training calendar with local RTOs, create client-specific resources and coach staff in adult learning concepts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a similar training coordination role.
• Strong ability to design and deliver accredited training.
• Excellent communication and administrative skills.

About the role

This position is responsible for coordination and delivery of operational and accredited training primarily to the guarding workforce but also to client stakeholders and third parties.
Reporting into the General Manager within the growing Defence portfolio, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, proactive learning strategy and responsive learning interventions.
This role can be based in ACT, NSW or VIC state offices with a willingness to travel on a regular basis.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Consultation with operational leaders to determine learning priorities
• Development and maintenance of a national training calendar including partnerships with local RTOs
• Development of custom, client / site specific training tools and resources for delivery by operational staff
• Capacity to coach and develop others in the application of adult learning concepts
• Management of multiple online learning systems

Skills & experience

The following skills, experience, qualifications and aptitude will be well regarded:

• Minimum 3 years in a similar role
• Minimum Cert IV in Training and Assessment
• Knowledge of security, defence or similar industries
• Strong administrative skills to develop learning materials that are professional in presentation, appeal to the learner and easy to use
• Capacity to produce visually appealing, easy to interpret reporting.
