Job summary

Wickham Freight Lines Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking a Trainee Logistics Coordinator to support our operations team and learn the freight business. This entry-level role offers a path to become a Logistics Coordinator at our Sydney Terminal, with exposure to dispatch, scheduling, and customer service in a busy 24/7 environment.

You will build strong communication skills, develop problem-solving abilities, and gain hands-on experience with docking trips, driver scheduling, and paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Docking and dispatching trips.
• Learn how to schedule drivers and subcontractors to loads on a timely basis and within guidelines.
• Ensure drivers receive accurate information and paperwork related to loads/pickups.
• Liaise with the logistics manager and staff to meet all freight requirements.

As a Trainee logistics coordinator, flexibility is key as our business operates on a 24/7 basis inclusive of public holidays. This role is a full time role, Monday to Friday.

This role has the following tasks:

• Docking and dispatching trips
• Learn how to schedule drivers and subcontractors to loads on a timely basis and within the guidelines of the Wickham Freight Lines Fatigue Management System
• Ensure drivers receive accurate information and paperwork related to loads/pickups
• Liaise with the logistics manager and other staff to ensure all freight requirements of customers are met
