Job summary

Ourmob.com.au Chemistry Pty in Yass, NSW is seeking a Trainee ICT Support Assistant to provide frontline ICT support to Council staff, helping ensure smooth operation of computer systems, software, devices and network services.

You will assist with troubleshooting, deployment and asset management, under supervision, with a 9‑day fortnight and 12% superannuation. Training is fully funded through the traineeship.

Qualifications

• Ability to undertake and satisfactorily complete relevant course of study.
• Experience in a customer-facing role.
• Ability to provide level 1 ICT support, including password resets and troubleshooting basic software or connectivity issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with technical and non-technical staff.
• Demonstrated ability to work methodically and troubleshoot problems.

Responsibilities

• Provide level 1 ICT support (resetting passwords and troubleshooting basic issues) and manage the internal helpdesk queue.
• Assist with training, hardware and software installation and maintenance requirements.
• Liaise with Council Officers over phone or remote connection.
• Keep Council officers informed of request progress up to resolution or escalation.
• Perform basic hardware and software upgrades and maintenance.
• Assist with deployment, relocation, installation and configuration of desktop and mobile computing devices and peripheral devices under supervision.
• Manage stock levels of consumables, spares, and replacement equipment; assist with Asset Management of ICT equipment.
• Assist team members with other tasks or project related work as required.
• Ensure ICT equipment is tidy, labelled and easy to find in the ICT build room.
• Assist with packaging and disposal of E-Waste and recording details for records.
• All duties performed under direction of other ICT Support Staff.
• Willingness to work out of hours as required.
