Job summary

Goodstart Fernvale is hiring a Trainee Educator to start your career with a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care. You’ll work under the Centre Leadership Team, supporting the education program and daily care with a focus on safety and development in a nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications

• Willingness to study towards a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care.
• Permanent right to work in Australia.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work well individually and as part of a team.
• Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one.
• Immunisation against Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Pertussis or willingness to receive.

Employment Type: Full time-fixed term (38hrs a week)

As a Trainee Educator at Goodstart, you will be dedicated to giving children the best possible start to their school journey. With the support of your Centre Leadership Team, Teachers, and Educators, you will be empowered to forge your career whilst working towards a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care.

• Maintaining a safe environment for children, families, and team members

To be eligible for a Traineeship

You are not able to hold a previous Certificate or Diploma qualification completed outside of secondary school in the last 7 years. Applicants who have completed a school-based certificate other than in childcare will still be eligible.

In addition, you must have:

• The willingness and motivation to study towards a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care
• A permanent right to work in Australia
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Ability to work well individually and as part of a team
• Enthusiasm and a positive attitude
• Interest in early years education
• Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain one)
• Certificate of Completion for the National Child Safety Foundation Training, completed via Geccko platform
• Proof of immunisation against Measles, Mumps and Rubella and Whooping Cough (Pertussis) (or be willing to receive)
