Rainbow Valley Early Learning Centre in Gladstone, QLD is seeking a Trainee Childcare Educator to begin your career in early childhood education. This full-time role offers hands-on experience while you undertake a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

You will work alongside qualified educators to support children's development, wellbeing and learning, while gaining practical skills in a supportive environment. Training and wellbeing are priorities.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their growth and development.
• Willingness to pursue an early childhood education and care qualification (Certificate III).
• Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Patience, enthusiasm and a calm demeanor when working with young children.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and child safeguarding principles.
• Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to work as part of a team.
• First Aid and CPR certification (desirable, or willingness to obtain).

Responsabilités

• Supporting qualified educators in delivering age-appropriate activities and educational programmes that foster children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development.
• Assisting with the supervision and safeguarding of children, always ensuring a safe and secure learning environment.
• Helping to maintain a clean, hygienic and well-organised childcare facility in accordance with health and safety standards.
• Supporting children with daily routines including mealtimes, rest periods and personal hygiene.
• Contributing to the planning and preparation of educational resources and materials.
• Following and adhering to Rainbow Valley Early Learning Centre's policies, procedures and duty of care requirements.
• Supporting the team in maintaining a positive, inclusive and welcoming environment for all children and families.

About the role

Rainbow Valley Early Learning Centre is seeking a passionate and dedicated Trainee Childcare Educator to join our team in Gladstone, QLD. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to begin your career in early childhood education and care. As a Trainee Childcare Educator, you will work alongside experienced educators to support the development, wellbeing and learning of children in our care.
