Job summary

Benowa Early Learning Centre is looking for a dedicated Educator to join our team. You will engage with babies and toddlers through age-appropriate activities, support routine and contribute to a nurturing learning environment.

Applicants should hold a Cert III or Diploma in Childhood Education and Care, with 3–5 years of Early Years experience, and current First Aid/CPR. Child Safe training is also expected. This is a permanent, full-time on-site role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Completed Cert 3 or Diploma in Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA equivalent).
• 3–5 years of experience in the Early Years sector.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, Anaphylaxis as required.

Responsibilities

• Plan developmentally appropriate activities for babies and toddlers.
• Support daily routines, feeding, naptime and play.
• Uphold regulatory standards and quality requirements.
• Observe progress and reflect to support development.

At our exceeding Centre, Benowa Early Learning Centre (part of Childcare Centre's of Excellence Pty Ltd), we strive to give the children in our care a diverse range of experiences, create strong connections and relationships and help them acquire a wealth of new skills and knowledge through our play-based curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and prepare engaging and child-safe environments and learning activities tailored to the developmental needs of babies and toddlers, focusing on their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth.

Uphold regulatory requirements according to the National Regulations and National Quality Standards, delivering exceptional education and care.

Support the implementation of daily routines while ensuring that each child’s individual needs are met, including feeding, naptime, and play.

Observe and reflect on babies and toddlers’ progress, adjusting activities to foster their ongoing development and interests.

Build strong relationships with families and colleagues to understand and accommodate each child's needs and preferences.

Foster positive behaviours and social skills by encouraging independence, exploration, and problem-solving in a nurturing environment.

Lead and mentor fellow educators, creating a safe, clean, and healthy setting for our youngest children.

Complete documentation in a professional, consistent and timely manner.

Supervise and engage children in all daily activities

Contribute to team meetings, collaborate on educational programs, and assist with administrative tasks related to our youngest learners.

What We're Looking For:

Completed Cert 3, Diploma or higher in Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA equivalent) for an Educator position.

Relevant experience (3-5 years) working in the Early Years sector.

Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis Certificates.

Child Protection Training and Child Safe Training Certificates.

Strong professional written and verbal communication skills.
