Job summary

Citadel Securities is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join our Sydney-based team. The role focuses on keeping our distributed trading platforms highly available, scalable, and secure, with emphasis on incident response and automation.

You will work closely with engineers across teams to optimize performance and reliability. The ideal candidate has strong UNIX/Linux skills, TCP/IP networking understanding, and experience in scripting (Bash/Python) and SQL.

Qualifications

• UNIX/Linux proficiency with strong command-line skills.
• Understanding of TCP/IP and UDP networking concepts.
• Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries.
• Proficiency in Bash and Python scripting for automation.
• Experience in trading desk environments is advantageous.
• Solid Python development experience and scripting capabilities.
• Familiarity with operating system performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line support and perform root cause analysis in real-time, distributed systems.
• Assist with capacity planning and deployment for large-scale applications and infrastructure.
• Coordinate application migrations and infrastructure upgrades.
• Collaborate with team members and lead troubleshooting sessions as needed.
