Job summary

Scaleup in Sydney seeks high-performance software engineers for the Equites desk within a dedicated trading environment. You will work directly with traders, gather requirements, and architect real-time systems across regional markets and futures.

Expect to move from monolithic code toward a modern, distributed architecture using C# microservices on Linux, with 80% backend and 20% UI. Strong CS fundamentals and passion for trading are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in building high-performance systems, preferably in finance or trading.
• Deep understanding of memory management, data structures, and concurrency.
• Experience delivering low-latency, concurrent software in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy real-time systems that run across regional markets and futures.
• Collaborate directly with traders, gathering requirements and owning the lifecycle from ideation to production.
• Build a modern C# microservices platform on Linux with high-performance thin-client UI.
