Job summary

RISsafety in Wetherill Park, NSW, Australia, is seeking an experienced tradesperson/trades assistant to join our growing team. The role involves cutting and preparing materials for welding, assembling components, drilling, milling, machining, and occasional welding, with an emphasis on safety and quality.

You will operate hand tools and machinery, perform sub-assemblies, prepare parts per drawings, and help maintain workshop housekeeping.

Qualifications

• High quality workmanship and attention to detail.
• Ability to understand and work to manufacturing drawings.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with company standards WHS / EMS and regulatory requirements
• Good communication skills both written and verbal.
• Willing to work to RIS business needs such as tight deadlines and supporting overtime when offered

Responsibilities

• Operate hand tools and workshop machinery safely (bandsaw, bench drill, linisher, angle grinder).
• Sub-assembly of components as required.
• Prepare parts for fabrication per drawings.
• Maintain workshop housekeeping and assist with packaging.
• Comply with RISsafety WHS standards.
• Assist with lifting aluminium extrusion materials up to 20 kg.
• Opportunity to learn/perform minor welding operations.

Due to current growth in business, we are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic tradesperson/trades assistant to join our growing team at Wetherill Park.

About the Role:
