Job summary

RISsafety is seeking a hands-on tradesperson/trades assistant to join our Wetherill Park workshop. The role involves cutting, assembling, drilling, milling, machining, and even light welding, with operating tools safely and maintaining a tidy workspace.

You will work with components, prepare parts per drawings, and support packaging while upholding WH&S standards and showing a strong attention to detail. Immediate start offered in a full-time capacity.

Qualifications

• High quality of workmanship and attention to detail.
• Ability to understand and work to manufacturing drawings.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with WHS/EMS.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Willing to work to RIS business needs including overtime when offered.

Responsibilities

• Operating hand tools and general workshop machinery like bandsaw, bench drill, linisher and angle grinder safely.
• Sub-Assembly of components.
• Preparing parts for fabrication as per drawing requirements.
• Maintain housekeeping in workshop and help with packaging.
• Comply with RISsafety WH&S standards.
• Some physical lifting of Aluminium extrusion materials up to 20Kg.
• Opportunity to learn/perform some minor welding operations.
