Bopp & Tone by Applejack Hospitality is on the lookout for Head Section Waitstaff to join our family. Located in Sydney, the premium dining venue offers great pay, progression, and a friendly team environment.

As Head Waitstaff, you will lead a restaurant section, deliver high-quality service, coordinate with kitchen and bar teams, and train junior staff while upholding our standards in a fast-paced setting. RSA is required; weekend/evening work is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ relevant experience in a comparable restaurant environment.
• Strong knowledge of F&B service, including wine and cocktails.
• Ability to work under pressure during high-volume service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to outstanding guest service.
• Current RSA certificate.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a section of the restaurant floor, ensuring smooth service and high standards are maintained.
• Greet, seat, and engage with guests, providing professional and attentive service throughout their dining experience.
• Take and coordinate food and beverage orders, with detailed knowledge of menus, daily specials, and wine pairings.
• Oversee and support junior wait staff, providing training, guidance, and feedback.
• Manage table allocations, coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams, and ensure efficient service delivery.
• Respond to and resolve guest concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, hygiene, and RSA requirements.
• Contribute to maintaining service standards and supporting overall restaurant operations.

We are seeking experienced Waitstaff to join our dynamic team at our premium dining venue Bopp & Tone in Wynyard, Sydney.

About The Venue

Bopp & Tone reflects the nostalgic and optimistic post WW2 era, embodying every day opulence and grandeur. The style is lived-in luxury, with a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. The Australian menu, centres around honest and generous share food with Mediterranean influences, and is predominantly cooked on the in-house wood grill or charcoal oven.

About The Role

To Be Considered, You Must Have

• Commitment to delivering outstanding guest service.
• A current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate.

Salary and Conditions

This is a full-time position with an annual salary of $80,000 Grade 4+ plus superannuation, in accordance with industry standards. Weekend and evening work will be required.
