Job summary

Empowered Recruitment seeks an experienced B2B account manager to oversee an established Toowoomba portfolio, focusing on key account development and retention. You will balance field-based client work with regional travel to maintain strong relationships and drive growth.

You will leverage existing customer relationships, negotiate favorable terms, and identify opportunities to increase hire volume and share of wallet while working within a supportive national business framework.

Qualifications

• A proven track record of retaining and growing valuable B2B accounts.
• Strong knowledge of the Toowoomba market and surrounding region.
• Experience within equipment, civil construction, transport, utilities, mining services or similar project-focused industries.
• Practical understanding of plant, machinery or technical equipment solutions.
• Strong account planning, negotiation and relationship-management capability.
• Self-directed with a current driver’s licence and willingness to travel regionally, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow an established portfolio of strategic accounts.
• Build relationships across site, procurement, operations and senior management teams.
• Identify upcoming projects, forward equipment requirements and growth opportunities.
• Develop account plans, prepare proposals and negotiate sustainable agreements.
• Protect key customer relationships and address account risks early.
• Work closely with operations to ensure customer commitments are delivered.
• Maintain accurate account, pipeline and activity information.
