Job summary

Ferrovial is seeking a Tolling, ITS, and Electrical Design Manager based in Nashville, TN. Lead the design and coordination of tolling, ITS, and electrical infrastructure for a major transportation project, guiding the discipline team through design and construction phases.

Strong leadership and multi-disciplinary coordination are essential to deliver quality, safe, and cost-effective solutions. The role requires 10+ years in relevant design and coordination, PE licensure preferred, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, Industrial, or a related engineering field.
Master of Science degree preferred.
10+ years of progressively responsible experience in design and coordination on complex transportation projects.
Professional Engineer licensure preferred.
Experience with tolling, ITS, roadway lighting, power, communications and related electrical infrastructure on PPP or Design‑Build projects; TDOT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead the tolling, ITS, and electrical design workstream and establish priorities, deliverables, responsibilities, and technical coordination requirements.
Manage the discipline design schedule, budget, resources, risks, interfaces, and contractor scopes in line with milestones.
Oversee calculations, drawings, reports, specifications, models, quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and other deliverables.
Ensure compliance with codes, standards, contract requirements, and project specs.
Lead coordination with the Developer, TDOT, tolling system integrator, designers, contractors, and stakeholders.
Chair or participate in technical meetings, document decisions, and drive issue resolution.
Manage communications, submittals, RFIs, design changes, and construction-phase support.
Identify risks and propose design improvements for safety, quality, and lifecycle performance.
