Job summary

Ferrovial Construction in the US seeks an MEP & ITS Design Engineer to oversee tolling, ITS, and electrical infrastructure design within the Design team for TDOT projects. The role coordinates with the tolling system integrator and provides technical support through the project lifecycle.

You'll lead calculations, review progress drawings, prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates, and ensure quality across all design activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Electrical or Civil Engineering (MS preferred).
Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible design experience on PPP/Design-Build projects.
Prior experience with tolling, ITS, and electrical infrastructure on TDOT projects is preferred.
Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, Project, MicroStation, and Procore.

Responsibilities

Perform and/or review calculations according to codes and criteria.
Review design progress drawings and provide comments.
Coordinate and attend meetings with Developer and TDOT’s tolling system integrator.
Manage communications with Developer and TDOT’s tolling system integrator.
Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
Ensure work complies with quality requirements, standards, and specifications.
Provide technical expertise for tolling, ITS, electrical systems activities.
Assist with field observation work if necessary.
Identify needs and evaluate alternative solutions in a multidisciplinary environment.
