Job summary

Be Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Therapeutic Youth Worker for a residential care setting in New South Wales. You will deliver trauma-informed, supportive care to children and young people with complex needs, within a multidisciplinary team.

Rosters include days, evenings, weekends, and sleepovers. The role requires a Cert IV or higher in Community Services or Youth Work, plus a minimum of six months’ paid experience, a valid NSW driver’s licence and WWCC.

Qualifications

• Cert IV or higher in Community Services, Youth Work or similar is mandatory.
• Minimum six months of paid experience as a Therapeutic Youth Worker.
• Full NSW Driver’s Licence.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• Willingness to undergo a National Police Check.
• COVID-19 vaccination or valid medical exemption.
• Availability to work a rotating roster, including days, evenings, weekends, and sleepovers & active nights.

• Create a safe, nurturing, and structured home environment.

Be Recruitment is seeking passionate and skilled Therapeutic Youth Workers to join a dedicated team delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care to children and young people with complex needs.

This role is within a residential care setting and requires candidates to hold a minimum Cert IV qualification in Community Services, Youth Work, or a related field – this is non-negotiable.

About the Role

As a Therapeutic Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people who have experienced significant trauma, abuse, and neglect. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will:

• Provide consistent therapeutic care, grounded in trauma-informed practice
• Model positive, pro-social behaviours to help young people develop healthy relationships and life skills
• Create a safe, nurturing, and structured home environment
• Support young people in understanding and managing trauma-related behaviours
