Job summary

Berry Street invites applications for a Therapeutic Youth Residential Care Worker in Morwell, Gippsland. The role focuses on delivering therapeutic care to children and young people who have experienced trauma, with a roster that includes day and overnight shifts.

Candidates should have a minimum Cert IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or equivalent, plus upskilling units and relevant checks. Base salary ranges from $71K to $80K per annum (pro rata) with salary packaging, superannuation,

Qualifications

• Minimum Cert IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or equivalent qualification.
• Must complete mandatory upskilling units as required by Department of Families, Fairness and Housing.
• Must complete Working with Children Check and National/International Police checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively within a dedicated team to deliver high-quality therapeutic care.
• Implement current best practice therapeutic interventions and program guidelines.
• Serve as a positive role model, supporting young people in education, social and recreational activities while fostering independence.
• Create a safe and nurturing home environment, including managing household duties and providing nutritious meals.
