Job summary

Berry Street in Victoria, Melbourne seeks a Residential Care House Supervisor to lead a 24/7 team delivering therapeutic residential care for children and young people. The role operates on a 76-hour fortnight roster with rotating day and night shifts, supported by mandatory orientation training.

You will supervise Residential Care Workers, manage daily house operations, support recruitment and retention, and ensure trauma-informed practice aligns with case management plans across shifts,

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in residential care and substantial experience with children and young people.
• Commitment to trauma-informed, therapeutic approaches in care settings.
• Willingness to lead a team, manage rosters and participate in budgeting and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of Residential House.
• Provide leadership and supervision to Residential Care carers.
• Comply with reporting requirements for program components.
• Administration and accountability of annual budgets and program planning.
• Embedding a therapeutic framework by overseeing best practice implementation of Children and Young People’s case management plans.
• After hours and on call duties.
• Develop and assist with house rosters.
