Job summary

Forklift It Pty Ltd in Townsville is seeking a motivated sales professional to join our team. The role focuses on pursuing new business and converting opportunities into sales or rentals across the Townsville region, leveraging a strong track record in sales and knowledge of capital equipment.

You will engage with customers, manage a growing base, and ensure equipment handover with proper operator induction.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success in acquiring new business and growing accounts.
• Experience with capital equipment sales is preferred.
• Ability to prepare proposals and manage tender processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Pursue new business opportunities via cold calling, prospecting, and other development activities.
• Develop and monitor customer base, both new and existing, within Townsville region.
• Ensure equipment handover to customers and operator induction prior to use.
• Develop a business plan and forward budget for order intake.
• Build knowledge of equipment specifications, features, benefits, and selling points.

We are currently searching for a motivated individual with a sales or new business background to join our Sales team based out of Bohle, Queensland. This role will be responsible for pursuing new business and converting opportunities into new sales or rentals across the Townsville region.

Tasks and Qualifications:

What You’ll Do:

• Pursue new business opportunities with customers via cold calling, prospecting and other new business development activities.
• Develop and monitor customer base, both new and existing.
• Ensure that all equipment is effectively handed over to the customer and that operators have become familiar and have been inducted on its operation prior to them operating the equipment.
• Develop a business plan and forward budget regarding order intake.
• Become conversant and knowledgeable on all existing and forthcoming equipment specifications, features, functions, benefits, unique selling points and commercial arguments.

What You’ll Bring:

• Strong track record of sales, including successfully acquiring new business
• Experience in the capital equipment industry is preferred
• Ability to formulate proposals and steer purchasing and tender processes
• Computer skills, including the ability to work with multiple projects at once
• Proficient with Microsoft Office packages - Word, Excel & Outlook
• The ability to identify potential selling opportunities
• High levels of customer service and communication skills
