Job summary

Cuscal Limited is seeking a Senior Manager, Technology Risk to lead the development and embedding of technology risk frameworks across the organization. You will partner with ETS and other business units to identify, assess, and mitigate technology risks, including AI-related risks, while steering risk reporting to the Board and Executive Leadership.

The role emphasizes governance, incident response, and control effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Information Systems, Risk Management, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Certifications in technology, cyber, or data risk management (CRISC, CISA, CISM, CISSP).
• 7–10 years of experience in technology risk management within the financial services industry.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a people leadership role within a technology 1LoD Risk team, Governance team, or 2LoD function.
• Strong knowledge of risk management and IT frameworks and standards (ITIL, ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT) and APRA guidelines (CPS234, CPG235, CPS230, CPS220).
• Experience managing risks associated with AI, ML, and emerging technologies

Responsibilities

• Develop and embed technology risk frameworks, policies, and procedures across Cuscal.
• Collaborate with product domains and corporate functions to embed risk practices.
• Own and uplift risk reporting mechanisms (KRIs, KPIs) for boards and executives.
• Assist ETS teams to identify, assess, and manage technology risks.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans.
• Lead issue and action management within ETS teams.
• Design and implement controls to manage technology risks and ensure effectiveness.
• Lead incident management with root cause analysis and remediation.
• Lead vendor risk assessments and third-party technology risk controls framework.
• Prepare papers, reports, and minutes for the Technology Risk Committee and escalations to leadership.
• Stay informed on AI and emerging tech risks and promote safe adoption.
• Drive automation of risk & controls monitoring processes.
• Promote a culture of innovation in risk management
