Job summary

u&u Recruitment Partners is seeking an experienced Manager to sit across risk practices and culture within a large, regulated financial services environment. The role focuses on raising maturity, consistency and accountability across the technology function.

You will lead first-line technology risk uplift, align workstreams to a common approach, and manage a small team of risk professionals to drive practical risk actions and improved governance.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading first-line risk roles in a complex organisation.
• Experience uplifting risk frameworks and improving maturity.
• Ability to establish practical standards and embed risk disciplines across teams.
• Experience leading a small team of risk professionals with clear priorities.
• Strong knowledge of risk frameworks, appetite, controls, reporting and governance.
• Familiarity with APRA expectations CPS 230, CPS 234 and CPS 220 in regulated finance.

Responsibilities

• Lead uplift of first-line technology risk practices across the organisation.
• Bring structure and consistency to risk identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting.
• Align workstreams to a common approach and improve risk profiles and controls.
• Lead a small team of Technology Risk & Compliance Specialists.
• Influence stakeholders to adopt a common approach while keeping business outcomes in sight.
• Translate risk requirements into practical actions.
