Job summary

HCF is expanding its Risk Assurance function and seeks a seasoned professional to deliver the Line 2 Risk Assurance program, providing independent assurance that technology, data and AI risks are effectively identified, managed and controlled across the organisation.

You will lead assurance reviews across technology, data and AI domains, assess controls and governance, engage senior stakeholders, and help mature assurance frameworks in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise across technology, data and AI risk management within a regulated environment.
• Experience in risk assurance, controls assurance, internal audit or a related risk discipline.
• Strong understanding of risk frameworks, governance processes and control assessment methodologies.
• Experience leading assurance reviews and providing independent risk insights and recommendations.
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex findings into practical business outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including experience working with senior leaders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear and meaningful assurance reporting.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or professional certifications in risk, audit, technology or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead Line 2 Risk Assurance activities across technology, data and AI risk domains.
• Assess control effectiveness, governance arrangements and regulatory compliance.
• Provide practical, risk-based recommendations and engage stakeholders.
• Contribute to developing assurance frameworks, methodologies and practices.
• Support maturation of risk management in a regulated environment.
