Job summary

Snowy Hydro is seeking an experienced Program Manager - Technology to lead the Technology & PMO portfolio, spanning Generation, Commercial Operations and Retail platforms. You will manage a team of 9 to 15 PMs, ensure governance and delivery hygiene, and partner with the C-suite to translate complex technical challenges into strategic business outcomes.

This hybrid role can be based in Melbourne or Sydney with regional travel, reporting to the Head of PMO (Delivery & Transformation).

Qualifications

7+ years leading technology programs or PMO in large, complex environments.
Energy/utility sector experience is preferred or strong backgrounds in critical infrastructure.
Strong governance, delivery hygiene, and risk management.
Proven ability to translate technical concepts for executive audiences.

Responsibilities

Own the technology delivery roadmap for assigned domains and balance competing demand against capacity.
Oversee end-to-end program delivery with governance, risk mitigation, and milestone tracking across lifecycles.
Lead and develop a team of 9–15 project managers and foster internal capability.
Facilitate executive steering committees and translate complex data into plain business language.
Establish reporting using Jira, ServiceNow SPM, and enterprise dashboards for leadership visibility.
